Cisco specifies the 9115AXI as the internal-antenna version and lists its multigigabit Ethernet, USB, security, antenna, and wireless capabilities in the official documentation.
Compatibility
Designed for Cisco enterprise wireless environments. Cisco lists compatibility with Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers and certain Cisco 3500, 5520, 8540, and Virtual Wireless Controller platforms when running supported software releases. Cisco specifies Cisco Unified Wireless Network Software 8.9 or later and IOS XE 16.11 or later in the product data sheet.
Important Compatibility Notice
C9115AXI-B is a regulatory-domain-specific model. Regulatory approval must match the country in which the AP will be deployed; Cisco requires customers to verify the appropriate regulatory domain before installation.
This standard C9115AXI model is controller-based. Do not assume it is the Embedded Wireless Controller version; those models use the separate C9115AXI-EWC-x designation.
For full 4x4 operation, appropriate PoE should be used. Cisco notes that use of the lower-power AIR-PWRINJ5 / 802.3af configuration reduces both radios to 2x2, limits Ethernet to 1 GbE, and disables USB.
