Product Overview
The Cisco Catalyst C9130AXE-B is an enterprise-class Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless access point designed for high-density and challenging indoor deployments. This external-antenna version combines an 8x8 radio architecture, MU-MIMO, OFDMA and Cisco Flexible Radio Assignment to support demanding enterprise wireless environments.
The C9130AXE uses Cisco's 8-port Smart Antenna (DART) interface, allowing organizations to select an appropriate external antenna system for the deployment.

Compatibility
The C9130AXE supports Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers. Cisco also documents support for Cisco 3504, 5520 and 8540 Wireless Controllers and the Cisco Virtual Wireless Controller under applicable software releases. The C9130AXE requires Cisco Unified Wireless Network Software 8.10 MR1 or later or Cisco IOS XE 17.1.1 or later.
Supported external antenna options include Cisco C-ANT9101, C-ANT9102 and C-ANT9103, along with selected conventional antennas when used with the appropriate Cisco DART breakout cable.
Important Compatibility Notice
This is the C9130AXE external-antenna model. An appropriate external antenna system is required for operation.
Cisco specifically warns that antennas should be connected before the access point is powered on, because enabling the radios without connected antennas can damage the AP.
The -B regulatory domain must also be appropriate for the intended deployment location. Cisco states that customers are responsible for verifying regulatory approval for the country in which the access point will be used.
This is C9130AXE-B, not the C9130AXI internal-antenna model and not the C9130AXE-EWC Embedded Wireless Controller configuration.
Required Accessories
An appropriate external antenna system is required.
Depending on the selected antenna, a compatible Cisco DART breakout cable may also be required. Cisco specifies AIR-CAB002-D8-R= for supported RP-TNC antenna connections and AIR-CAB003-D8-N= for supported N-type configurations.
A compatible PoE infrastructure or separately sourced power solution is also required for deployment.

The Catalyst 9130AX Series supports Cisco enterprise wireless technologies including Flexible Radio Assignment, Software-Defined Access integration and application hosting through its USB interface.
